Privacy & safety

How long can someone watch my video?

Uploaded postcard videos are available for up to 90 days from upload. Access can end earlier if the video is removed, revoked or restricted.

Updated

The clock starts at upload

The current access period is measured from when the video was uploaded, not when a postcard arrives or its QR code is first scanned.

Keep a copy

A recipient can save a video where the download option is available. If you want to keep the memory, save your own original too. A QR link is not permanent storage.

Removing a video

The product can warn you when removal affects cards using that video. Read the warning before confirming. Revoking access stops supported playback through Snailmail; it cannot erase a copy someone already downloaded or forwarded.

After expiry

The video cannot be played through the service’s normal access checks. Provider deletion is scheduled; this does not promise that every backup disappears at the same instant.
