What happens to my photos when I use AI?
When you choose an AI feature, your instructions and the reference photos selected for that request are processed to create the result. AI is optional.

Only use content you are allowed to share
Choose photos you have permission to use, especially when they show someone else. Avoid sensitive documents, private addresses or confidential information in prompts and reference images.
Can I avoid this processing?
Yes. Use your own photo as a photo postcard or choose an existing template without generating an AI image.
What about model training?
Snailmail requests no-data-collection routing for its current AI integration. This is not a guarantee that every model provider has no retention obligations or that all processing happens in one country.
